We have participated in a celebration of a Kosher wedding in Marbella. Specifically, at the Hotel Villa Padierna, where gastronomy and the set up were the protagonists.
Goyo Catering is Kosher certified. So, only a few days ago we participated in the celebration of a jewish wedding in Marbella. We shared all our passion for design and gastronomy with the couple.
Our colleague, Virginia Florista, was in charge of the floral decoration for the ceremony and the celebration. Delicate and colorful flowers that gave the personal touch the newly weds were looking for.
The set up of the cocktail zone was done with sack table cloths, in the spectacular exterior of the Villa Padierna Hotel, by the hall where the rest of the celebration took place with all the guests, around 200 approximately.
Our linen and gold cloths were the matching touch for an elegant celebration. The folding Napoleon style chairs, beige serviettes with floral decoration and gold cutlery in matt combined perfectly with the places chosen for being delighted with gastronomy at this Kosher wedding in Marbella.
But, what does a Kosher wedding consist on?
Kosher refers to those ingredients that are under jewish rules. Only meat that comes from animals with hoofs and that are ruminants may be eaten; that excludes pork, for example. Products that come form these animals, such as milk products, may be eaten as long as they contain kosher additives.
As for fish, that we served during the dinner, those that have fins and scales may be eaten. That excludes all shellfish mollusks, etc.
Wine has to be specially Kosher and manipulated by a member of the jewish community.
These are only some of the details that define a Kosher style event.
To begin our catering service, we offered the guests a refreshment before the religious ceremony, that consisted of lemonade and orangeade. Everything, completely natural.
At the appetizer time, here are some of those that could be tasted:
The main menu consisted of a pumpkin cream with Quenel of Kosher Cheese and floral touch. Then, salad of marinated salmon flower, beet textures, quail amber…
Finally, Wild Sea Bass from the Atlantic with reduction of coconut milk, spiced potatoes and mini timbale of vegetables with truffle and lime oil.
For the buffet of desserts mini chocolate lingotes, semi cold ice creams, mini apple pancakes, praline lollipops with almonds and a large etcetera. Of course, the wedding cake, spectacular with 4 layers.
A very special celebration, in Marbella, where we enjoyed elaborating Kosher gastronomy for all the wedding guests.
